WHAT'S ON // I CAUGHT CRABS IN WALBERSWICK

Fresh from this year's HighTide Festival, Joel Horwood's 'I Caught Crabs in Walberswick' is transferring to the Edinburgh Festival, in co-production with Eastern Angles.

Set on a sweltering summer's day on the eve of the last GCSE exam, I Caught Crabs in Walberswick takes an explosive and contemporary look at rural, teenage life.

Best mates Fitz and Wheeler are fishing for crabs on a bridge in sleepy Walberswick when they are ambushed by Dani, the fittest girl on the beach. So begins a crazy 24 hours that will change the lives of the three sixteen-year-olds forever. Wheeler is a high-flying comprehensive kid destined for university, football-mad Fitz is struggling to cope with his dysfunctional father and his school studies and posh girl Daniella feels misunderstood by her neurotic mum…all three are looking for some action. After hooking-up with Dani and taking a reckless road trip up the Suffolk coast will Fitz and Wheeler's friendship survive….?
